Big Heart Vibe Sweater English Pattern

Description of Big Heart Vibe Sweater The Big Heart Vibe Sweater is worked top down with raglan increases. The neckline is sculpted with short rows. The stripes on the sweater are worked by alternating between two different types of yarn; a bulky and a lace weight. The lace weight will thereby be see-through. In the middle of the front, a heart pattern is formed using the lace weight yarn. Just after having begun working the heart chart, the yoke is divided into the body and sleeves, which are all finished separately. The body is worked with no further increases and finished off with a rib edge. The sleeves are created in a likewise manner.

Yarn suggestions The Big Heart Vibe Sweater can either be worked with 1 strain or holding together 3 strains. Nonetheless, the see-through stripe is only worked with 1 lace weight strain.

1 strain Bouclé by Mohair by Canard 100 gr./170m.

Brushed Lace by Mohair by Canard 25 gr./210m.

3 strains Dolce by Cewec 50g./150m – 2 strains HELD TOGETHER WITH

Multi silk-mohair by Cewec 25g./210m

Needles: Circular needle 10 mm (80-120 cm). Double pointed needles (dpns) 10 mm unless you make use of the magic loop technique, in which case you will need a 120 cm wire instead of dpns for the sleeves. Circular needle 5 mm (60-80 cm) for the rib edges. Dpns 5 mm as well, if you do not make use of the magic loop technique.

Stitch markers: 9 pcs, it is important that they are large enough for a 10 mm needle.

Gauge 10 cm x 10 cm = 10 sts x 16 rows in stockinette sts worked in EITHER 1 strain boucle (by Mohair by Canard) OR 2 strains Dolce AND 1 strain Multi silk-mohair (the latter 2 qualities by Cewec).

Stripes: The entire sweater is work altering between a bulky and a lace weigh yarn base. The bulky alternative is either 1 strain boucle (by Mohair by Canard) or 2 strains Dolceheld together with 1 strain Multi silk-mohair (the latter 2 qualities by Cewec). The stripes are created by working 4 rounds with the bulky alternative followed by 2 rounds with the lace weight alternative. The stripes are continued throughout the sweater.
