Description of Stripe Vibe Dress
The Stripe Vibe Dress is worked top down with raglan increases. The neckline is sculpted using short rows. The stripes on the dress are created by alternately using two different types of yarn; a bulky and a lace weight. The lace weight stripes will be see-through. On the middle of the bust, the yoke is divided into sleeves and body, which are all finished separately. The dress can either be worked with hip increases or without further increases. Just above the knee, the garment is separated and worked back and forth to form a flattering split. The dress is finished off with a rib edge. The sleeves are worked without decreases and finished off with a rib edge.

Brushed Lace by Mohair by Canard (25 g) 25 g (25 g) 30 g (40 g) 50 g

Needles: Circular needle 10 mm (40, 80 and 120 cm). Double pointed needles (dpns) 10 mm if you do not use the magic loop technique. Circular needle 5 mm (40 cm) for the neckline rib. Circular needles 6 mm (80 cm) for the rib edges. Dpns 5 mm as well, if you do not make use of the magic loop technique.
Stitch markers: 9 pcs, it is important that they are large enough for a 10 mm needle.
Gauge 10 cm x 10 cm = 10 sts x 16 rows in stockinette sts with the two yarn qualities.

Stripes: The entire dress is work alternating between a bulky and a lace weigh yarn base. The bulky alternative is one strain of Boucle (by Mohair by Canard), while the lace weight alternative is one strain of Brushed Lace (by Mohair by Canard). The stipe pattern is created by 4 rounds of bulky yarn and 2 rounds of lace weight yarn. When changing between the two qualities, you do not have to break the yarn but you can intertwine the yarn in the following stripes. To ensure a smooth transition when changing yarn qualities, work a round in the new yarn, on the next round: pick up the right side of the loop in the very first st and work the two sts together with the new quality.
