Spring Vibe Jacket English Pattern

Description of Spring Vibe Jacket Spring Vibe Jacket is worked from the bottom and up. Starting with a twisted ribbing edge and then continued in stockinette stitch till the armhole. The jacket can be worked one of two ways: either by alternately knit and purl rows or by knitting stockinette round until the burst. If the latter is chosen, two edges of crochet stitches should be formed on the front center and the link between the knit stitch is cut such that the jacket can open.
The sleeves are worked from the bottom and up with long twisted ribbing edges and visible increases on the outside of the sleeves. The shoulders are constructed with large puff sleeves created by pleats. The sleeves should join the body with a crochet edge, which is done to ensure a visible edge which is part of the pattern. In the end, the button plackets are worked in double knitting where the buttonholes are created along the way.
Needles Circular needle 4,5 mm (80-100 cm for the button plackets), 5 mm (80 cm for ribbing), and 6 mm (80 cm-120 cm for majority of the work). Double pointed needles (dpns) 5 and 6 mm unless you make use of the magic loop technique, in which case you will need a 120 cm wire instead of dpns for the sleeves.
Crochet hook 3, 4, or 5 mm to join the sleeves and the body.
Stitch markers: 6 pcs, it is important that your st markers can open up.
Bottoms: 5 pcs, 20 mm bottoms.
Gauge 10 cm x 10 cm = 15 sts x 21 rows stockinette stitches with needle 6 mm.
Yarn suggestions: The Spring Vibe jacket can be worked with 1, 2, or 3 strains of yarn. If you choose to knit with one strain, the final jacket will be airy and light. If you work the jacket with two or more strains of yarn, the appearance will be more firm compared to working with only one strain, making it an ideal jacket for spring. The possibilities work equally well, but the appearance can change depending on your choice.
