Description of Striped Vibe Sweater
The Striped Vibe Sweater is worked top down with raglan increases. The ribbing at the neck edge is folded in half to form the neckline. The latter is sculpted using short rows. The stripes on the sweater are created by alternately using two different types of yarn; a bulky and a lace weight. The lace weight stripes will be see-through. When you are done working the yoke, divide it into sleeves and the body to finish them separately. The sweater is finished off with rib edges. The sleeves are worked without decreases and also finished off with a rib edge.

Yarn suggestion: The Striped Vibe Sweater is worked alternately using two different types of yarn; a bulky and a lace weight yarn quality.
Bulky yarn: Cloud, 90% new wool, 10% nylon by Lang Yarns, 100g/260m.
Lace weight yarn: Lace, 58% super kid mohair, 42% silk by Lang Yarns, 25g/310m.
OR
Bulky yarn: Boucle, 78% mohair, 13% merino and 9% nylon by Mohair by Canard, 100g/170m.
Lace weight yarn: Brushed Lace, 72% fine kid mohair, 28% mulberry silk by Mohair by Canard, 25g/210m.
OR
Bulky yarn: Glory, 100% new wool by Wool Addicts from Lang Yarns, 50g/70m.
Lace weight yarn: Jawoll, 75% new wool, 25% polyamide by Lang Yarns, 50g/210m.
NOTE! Regarding the Cloud yarn: Please be aware that all skeins are unique, which is why they may vary a lot in the color. If you want to avoid this, you can work 2 rounds with one skein and 2 rows with another skein as one would using hand dyed yarn. Furthermore, the Cloud yarn will expand a lot when washed and used (approximately 10 cm in the total length). To prevent this misshaping your final shirt, you can choose to work a size smaller when using this yarn quality.
Needles:
Circular needles 7 mm, 40 and 100 cm.
Circular needles 5 mm, 40 and 80 cm for the rib edge at the neck and on the bottom.
Double pointed needles (dpns) 5 mm for the rib on the sleeves.
Stitch markers: 9 pieces. Make sure they fit a size 7 mm needle.
Stripes: The stripes on the sweater are created by alternately using bulky and lace weight yarn. The stipes are created by repeating 4 rounds of bulky yarn followed by 2 rounds of lace weight yarn throughout the entire sweater.
Gauge: 10 cm x 10 cm = 13 sts x 16 rows in stockinette stitches using 7 mm needles alternating between the bulky and lace weight yarn. NOTE: the height of the gauge swatch can be tricky to measure even when washed due to the liveliness of the yarn. As soon as the body of the sweater is done, the weight from the ribbing edge will even out the sweater and it will stretch a bit. It is thereby NOT important if the height of your gauge swatch matches perfectly since the pattern states the measurements in cm when needed.
