Description of Cool Vibe Bag The Cool Vibe Bag is knitted from the bottom up, in one piece. It is worked in the round using a simple slip-stitch pattern called “Pebble stitch”
After knitting the main part of the bag, some stitches are bound off, and the flap of the bag is knitted. The bag is finished with a leather base, zipper, shoulder strap, and other details from Muud, which are attached at the end.
Measurements: The bag measures 36 cm x 18 cm x 12 cm.
Needles & Tools:
• Circular needle 5 mm, 40 cm length
• Circular needle 4 mm, 40 cm length
• 2 wool needles for sewing with thicker yarn
• Sewing needle for attaching the zipper
Yarn: Cool Vibe Bag is knitted using yarn made from recycled plastic bottles by Karen Klarbæk. Each skein is made from 2–3 plastic bottles. The yarn is 100% polyester, 50 g / 100 m. Machine washable at 30–60°C.
Yarn Consumption: 6 skeins in total – 3 skeins of color A and 3 skeins of color B. The model shown uses 3 skeins of color A (Dark Linen) and 3 skeins of color B (Nature White).
Gauge: The bag is knitted with 2 strands held together throughout, using two different needle sizes, resulting in two different gauges:
• 10 x 10 cm = 19 sts x 39 rows using 2 strands of bottle yarn on 5 mm needles in Pebble Stitch
• 10 x 10 cm = 20 sts x 41 rows using 2 strands of bottle yarn on 4 mm needles in Pebble Stitch
